The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) XII, together with the Silway River Water Quality Management Area, led the Sikad Silway 2022: Riparian Vegetation at Stations six (6) to nine (9) located at Barangay San Isidro, General Santos City; and Clean-Up Activity along Stations one (1) and two (2), near the Silway Bridge at Purok Fatima, Barangay Labangal on April 19, 2022.

A total of one hundred (100) “Bayog” bamboo seedlings and 50 Narra seedlings were planted during the tree planting activity.

Meanwhile, a total of eleven (11) sacks of garbage were accumulated during the clean-up and were turned over to the Waste Management Office (WMO) of General Santos City. Trash picked up along the area included biodegradable wastes, plastic wrappers and P.E.T. bottles and other residual wastes. After the clean-up activity, all the sacks filled with trash were
