The Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau XII hosted the National Budget Proposal for Fiscal Year 2023 Workshop on March 15-18, 2022 with participants joining face-to-face at The Farm @ Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City, and virtually via Microsoft Teams.

EMB XII Regional Director Engr. Omar M. Saikol welcomed the participants to the first new normal blended workshop. He emphasized the relevance of incorporating an integrated management system because in providing quality service and environmental stewardship, the health and safety of the workforce must equally be given consideration.
The activity was meant to strengthen the vertical and horizontal linkages where regional needs are prioritized in the national plans and budgets while ensuring that the regional plans are aligned with national priorities.

EMB Director Engr. William P. Cuñado elaborated on strengthening the effectiveness of the implementation process of the Bureau, intimating that projects would not bring the desired impact if not properly implemented. He stressed on applying the bureau’s mission “To protect, restore and enhance environmental quality towards good public health, environmental integrity and economic viability” as a way of life in every region.

The workshop was attended by more than 160 EMB Central Office Division Chiefs, Regional Directors, budget and planning staff through face-to-face and virtual platform.
